This article is an invited contribution to a round-table hosted by the Journal of the Academy of Religion on climate destabilization and what we may learn from the world's great religions. In this article, after an introductory theoretical exploration of the issue of climate change and scholarship on religion, the paper takes up the insights that Hinduism may have to offer on the question of climate change, ending with a debate between Rabindranath Tagore and Mohandas Gandhi.
