Fishery Sustainability Game

Description:
This is a game that can be played out over several class periods in which students split up into teams that are tasked with managing fisheries in different countries. Each country's fishery stock has a different population growth rate, and dispersal results in fish moving around between different stocks. Hence, this game teaches students about metapopulation models, population growth functions, and sustainable harvests. The game is run by having student teams submit fishing targets which are entered into simulations conducted in R.
